Students must attend all sessions to complete certification.
Rescue Divers are trained to spot emergencies before they happen, how to evaluate an incident, and if necessary, assist in a rescue. This course is taken in conjunction with First Response courses: CPR and AED/Bloodborne Pathogens/Oxygen Administrator. First Response courses are a separate cost to the Rescue Diver in-water course.
Master all the important academic information online. You can complete this phase through self-study, at your own pace, in the convenience of your home or office. Â All eLearning courses work on mobile and tablet devices too.
Upon completion of this academic course and review, divers must also take one evening of First Response, as well as 2 days of training on the Open Water. Topics covered include surface rescues and bringing and unconscious diver from the bottom to the surface and towing them to shore. Divers going through this course should have all of their own gear, and command of their buoyancy.
